Job Summary: A Data Center professional to work in a dynamic and strategic environment, contributing to the availability, security, and performance of BYD's technology infrastructure. Collaboration with Infrastructure and Security teams on business continuity testing We are seeking technology-passionate professionals to work in a dynamic and strategic **Data Center** environment, directly contributing to the company's technology infrastructure availability, security, and performance. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the **BYD** Data Center's logical infrastructure, including virtualization platforms, storage, and backup systems. Your responsibilities include proactive environment monitoring, capacity management, ensuring system stability and data integrity—all aligned with SLAs. You will also collaborate with Infrastructure and Security teams to execute business continuity tests such as DRP and BCP. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Configure, maintain, and optimize virtualization clusters (VMware/Hyper\-V), ensuring redundancy (HA/DRS) and adherence to performance thresholds; * Administer enterprise backup and restore operations (NetBackup/Veeam), validating task success rates and executing corrective actions for failures; * Perform proactive monitoring of CPU, memory, and storage capacity and performance, generating reports for demand forecasting and load balancing; * Execute OS and application patches within approved maintenance windows, ensuring rollback plan documentation; * Manage and customize dashboards and alert parameters for critical metrics (CPU, latency, throughput, IOPS) across various monitoring tools; * Conduct DRP and BCP test cycles, validating RTO and RPO targets, and producing post\-test documentation with improvement plans; * Collaborate with Information Security to remediate vulnerabilities by implementing updates or mitigations and recording evidence; * Supervise vendor maintenance visits, ensuring compliance with BYD’s access policies, EHS, and confidentiality requirements; * Maintain configuration baselines and necessary evidence for ISO 27001 audits (asset inventory, change records, access logs); * Contribute automation scripts for repetitive maintenance tasks (backup validation, log analysis, alert correlation); * Coordinate small-scale infrastructure expansions or migrations with partner teams to ensure service continuity. * Continuously identify improvement opportunities to increase availability, efficiency, and documentation quality. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Bachelor’s degree** in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related fields; * **Solid knowledge** of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper\-V) and storage management; * Experience in backup operations, data recovery validation, and monitoring using Zabbix, PRTG, or Grafana; * Understanding of DRP/BCP concepts, RTO/RPO metrics, and disaster recovery testing; * Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, networking, and capacity management; * Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ITIL frameworks, ensuring documentation alignment and compliance; * Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for hardware and software incidents; * **Intermediate English** proficiency for technical documentation and vendor communication; * Good communication and teamwork skills in high-availability environments; * Ability to coordinate vendor maintenance and validate deliverables; * Desired certifications: VMware VCP, Microsoft Server Administrator, or ITIL Foundation; * High level of operational discipline, configuration control, and preventive maintenance routines; * Knowledge of NR safety regulations applicable to data center operations and EHS compliance; * Availability to participate in DRP/BCP testing and **shift-based operations;** * VMware Certified Professional – VCP (Data Center Virtualization) certification; * ITIL Intermediate (Service Operations or Service Transition) certification. **Desired:** * Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator (MCSA) or Azure Administrator (AZ\-104\) certification; * CompTIA Network\+ or Cloud\+ (data center networking understanding); * Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) or Veritas NetBackup Administrator; * ISO/IEC 27001 Internal Auditor (desirable); * Professional Zabbix / PRTG monitoring certification; * Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) – optional. **Additional Information** At BYD, we prioritize our employees’ well-being and continuously seek improvements to our benefits package.
