The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily security operations, managing the analyst team, managing vendors, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. **Responsibilities and duties** Main Responsibilities * Supervise the cybersecurity team, including task assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development. * Lead incident response activities from detection and analysis through containment, eradication, and recovery. * Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls. * Manage and operate security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions. * Manage cybersecurity vendors and service providers, including performance evaluation, SLA oversight, and assurance of compliance with security standards. * Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments and develop mitigation plans. * Monitor networks and systems for malicious activities and anomalies. * Stay up to date on the latest threats and trends in cybersecurity. * Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the organization. * Actively collaborate with business areas (HR, Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.) to understand organizational processes, identify specific risks per area, and implement appropriate security controls without compromising productivity. * Prepare and present reports on the state of information security to management. * Serve as an internal security consultant, guiding business teams on security best practices and supporting the implementation of new projects and systems. Qualifications and Requirements Education * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or related field. * Postgraduate degree in Cybersecurity or related field is a plus. Professional Experience * Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. * Proven experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations. Certifications * Certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) are highly desirable. * Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco) are a plus. Technical Skills * In-depth knowledge of security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, etc. * Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking, and network protocols. * Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001\. * Experience with security analysis and digital forensics tools. Desirable: Postgraduate degree or MBA in Information Security, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or related fields. 7 years Minimum of 7 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or technical coordination role.
