Job Summary:
Professional to operate machines at various stages of cable production, from extrusion and material mixing to cutting, drawing, twisting, and measurement, ensuring process quality and organization.

Cable Extruder:
· Perform cable extrusion
· Accelerate compound in the cylinder
· Mark cables
· Unmark cables
· Clean machines and section;
· Transport materials;
· Monitor cable winding onto reels;
· Assist in performing processes and/or operating machines and equipment;
· Handle and move materials, supplies, raw materials, and tools;
· Handle and move scraps, waste, and scrap metal according to respective rules;
· Record processes in which they participate;
· Perform full or partial setup of production equipment;
· Identify faults in the process and/or products;
· Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization as a whole
Cable Cutting:
· Feed cable into the uncoiler;
· Drill reel if necessary;
· Cut cables and apply terminals automatically.
Banbury Mixer
· Load properly weighed raw material into the Banbury® and activate the machine to mix components for 5 minutes to achieve a homogeneous mixture;
· Add vulcanizing agent (accelerator).
Mixing and Cutting/Cylinder
· Verify material to be used;
· Retrieve required raw material for rubber mixing process and weigh it;
· Verify that the cylinder is clean;
· Turn on exhaust fans, panel switch, and cooling water;
· Check equipment/machine safety devices;
· Start equipment/machine via control panel;
· Load material into the cylinder and mix it according to its formulation;
· Transfer material to the cutting cylinder, passing it through to cut into strips;
· Apply talc onto strips to prevent sticking;
· Cut strip ends transversely to unify them;
· Place into boxes, onto a disk, or onto transport carts.
· Record data on OPs.
· Clean equipment/machine.
Drawing Machines
· Position the copper draw bench or coil at the appropriate location;
· Request the appropriate die set for drawing, per instructions on the Production Order;
· Correctly thread wire through dies and annealing system;
· Place empty reel onto drawing machine, secure wire to it, and adjust the balancer;
· Check air valves and adjust speed, tension, and current parameters according to wire to be drawn and final diameter;
· Start machine and monitor operation, resolving any issues (e.g., wire breakage, oil shortage, etc.);
· Label approved reels and make them available to other departments;
· Enter data into Sapiens system (time, raw materials, scrap, and machine downtime).
Twisting Machines
· Machines involved: Measuring devices, Twisters (including FG twister), Scale, Marking machines, Small cable braiders, Spiral winders, Trinaders, Braiders, PVC extruders, Impregnation units, Mills, Winding machines, and Autoclaves;
· Record data on OPs;
· Enter data into Sapiens system (time, raw materials, scrap, and machine downtime).
Banbury Mixer

· Verify that the cylinder is clean;

· Load material into the cylinder and mix it according to its formulation;

· Record data on OPs;

Measurement
§ Divide products into rolls, spools, or reels as specified in the Production Order;
§ Perform and record functional checks of measurement and testing equipment used in the department;
§ Conduct voltage testing on products using Spark-test, considering values defined by applicable standards;
§ Perform visual inspection of products to detect possible finish-related nonconformities, marking defects, etc.;
§ Record production time in our ERP system, and record any scrap (waste);

Salary: R$2.000,00 \- R$2.270,40 per month
