In this role, you will work within HDI Seguros’ Operations and Claims Directorate—the area responsible for creating and monitoring performance dashboards and indicators, developing controls, forecasts, and studies aimed at identifying performance deviations and mapping opportunities for cost optimization, aligned with our strategy, vision, and mission. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your day-to-day will include:** * Develop, train, and validate predictive and prescriptive models using Machine Learning algorithms and statistical techniques for operations and claims; * Create and evolve data pipelines using AWS services, handling structured and scalable data; * Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, opportunities, and trends; * Process, clean, and prepare large volumes of data from multiple sources (claims databases, policies, indemnity history, expert reports, images, and external data); * Implement analytical solutions and models into production using AWS tools; * Build and monitor performance metrics to evaluate deployed models; * Conduct statistical studies, simulations, and hypothesis testing to solve business problems; * Document developed processes, models, and methodologies; * Contribute to continuous improvement of data policies, standards, governance, and quality. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Basic requirements include:** * Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields; * Prior experience in the insurance industry; * Advanced proficiency in Python with practical experience in key analytical ecosystem libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit\-learn, Matplotlib, and Seaborn); * Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex dataset modeling, query optimization, and manipulation of large relational datasets related to the claims lifecycle; * Solid foundations in statistics and machine learning, covering supervised and unsupervised techniques, regression, classification, model evaluation, and feature engineering; * Proven experience with AWS, including: * S3 (Data Lake and dataset storage) * Athena or Redshift (querying and analyzing large volumes of data) * Glue (ETL, cataloging, and orchestration) * Lambda (serverless execution) * SageMaker (model training, deployment, registration, and monitoring) * CloudWatch (observability and metrics) * Hands-on experience building data pipelines and deploying models in cloud environments; * Experience with Git and professional versioning practices, as well as containerization using Docker; * Ability to translate technical analyses and model results into clear, actionable recommendations—especially for claims operations teams. **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior experience with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and modern data architectures; * Experience in Generative AI and LLM projects, including adaptation and fine‑tuning; * Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, MLOps (monitoring, experiment tracking, model registry), and full CI/CD practices for models; * Familiarity with data visualization and storytelling tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker). **Additional Information** At the **HDI Group**, our daily schedule offers flexible working hours.
