About the role: Alcoa is seeking a PL C Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Alumar Reduction unit in São Luís do Maranhão. The main responsibilities of the role include:* Selecting materials, tools, and measuring, welding, and control instruments necessary to perform tasks; * Disassembling, identifying, and correcting mechanical defects and reassembling equipment or parts, replacing components and/or making necessary adjustments to meet specified standards; * Reading, interpreting, and identifying parts and drawings in equipment catalogs, reading and interpreting hydraulic/pneumatic circuits, and performing repairs on parts and/or components; * Analyzing defects, identifying and eliminating the causes of abnormalities in hydraulic/pneumatic and mechanical systems; * Knowing, using, and providing information to ensure the maintenance management system functions properly (records * abnormalities, correction records, maintenance plan control maps, etc.); * Inspecting, re-tightening, adjusting, and eliminating abnormalities; * Performing mechanical maintenance on machines, equipment, installations, and hydraulic and pneumatic components, repairing or replacing parts, making adjustments, alignments, and lubrication. What you can bring to the role:* Education: Technical degree in Electromechanics/Mechanics with active registration at CFT – Federal Council of Industrial Technicians; * Desired: Experience in industrial maintenance.
