**Responsibilities and Duties**
As an **Automation Technician**, you will:
* Execute automation projects jointly with engineering, organizing development and performing detailed design—from initial conception through client implementation.
* Prepare specifications, logic diagrams; interconnection and loop diagrams; P&I flowcharts; specifications, data sheets, and instrument lists;
* Develop PLC and/or supervisory application software; field network projects; PLC and electrical panel projects; DF analyses; cable lists; platform and field tests; commissioning; start-up; assisted operation; training.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
Required Education:
* Technical course in automation, electrical engineering, electronics, data processing, or related field.
Desirable Knowledge:
* Knowledge of control system hardware (PLCs, DCS, remote data acquisition units, power supplies, UPS systems, electrical panels)
* Proficiency in developing PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCS, and/or supervisory application software;
* Preparation of equipment and instrument specifications, logic diagrams, interconnection and loop diagrams;
* Platform, field, and start-up testing;
* Assisted operation;
* Training.
* Knowledge of process control instrumentation;
* Knowledge of electrical equipment;
* Knowledge of industrial field networks;
* Knowledge of optical fiber networks and associated accessories;
* Familiarity with motor starters and drives (Soft Starters, Frequency Inverters), MCCs, substations, and electrical controls;
* Knowledge of NR-10;
* Professional registration required.
