Software Engineer (Serverless)

Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Developer to work with Serverless on AWS, focused on building robust backend applications in NodeJS and TypeScript with scalability and low technical debt. Focus on sustainable scalability and low technical debt **About the Role** We are expanding our engineering team and seeking a Senior Developer to collaborate with our AWS Serverless experts. You will play a key role in evolving our Worker Credit product, ensuring the development of robust backend applications in NodeJS and TypeScript, with emphasis on sustainable scalability and low technical debt. **Job Mission** As a Software Engineer, you will be the technical reference for Serverless architecture and development, applying industry best practices to ensure our operations scale efficiently, performantly, and securely in the cloud. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using AWS Serverless architecture; * Develop event-driven architectures (EDA), creating systems that respond to triggers across distributed services and external systems; * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and continuous delivery of software projects; * Optimize Lambda functions to ensure high performance, minimal cold start times, and efficient resource utilization; * Manage API Gateways, implementing authentication, rate limiting, caching, and request/response transformations; * Orchestrate multiple managed cloud services to build comprehensive application ecosystems; * Focus on cost optimization through efficient architectural design and intelligent resource allocation; * Ensure application security via IAM policies, encryption, and network controls; * Actively participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high software quality; * Mentor and provide technical support to less experienced team members. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience with functional computing using AWS Lambda (NodeJS and TypeScript); * Proficiency in event processing and messaging (queues, event streams, and real-time notifications); * Experience integrating serverless and managed databases (DynamoDB, DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, and caching layers); * Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Serverless Framework, SAM, or CDK; * Knowledge of monitoring and observability for distributed systems (CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar); * Practical experience with unit tests, integration tests, and load testing. **Nice-to-Have** * Official AWS certifications; * Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), user story writing, and estimation; * Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills; * Strong written and verbal communication skills; * Proactive mindset with ease working both collaboratively and independently. **Additional Information** \* \*\*Work Model:\*\* 100% Remote; \* \*\*Employment Type:\*\* CLT; \* \*\*Selection Process:\*\* Screening Interview Technical Test Final Interview.
