As a **Software Engineering Coordinator at Porto**, you will serve as the technical and people leader for our **Payment Platforms**.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Coordinate the platform engineering team, ensuring consistent, sustainable deliveries aligned with mobile channel requirements;
* Act as a technical and organizational enabler to support the payment platforms teams, guaranteeing stability, performance, and scalability;
* Lead management routines (1:1s, feedback sessions, performance tracking, and technical and behavioral development);
* Ensure adoption of software engineering best practices, including clean code, test automation, CI/CD, and observability;
* Oversee backend service architecture and maintenance;
* Collaborate closely with product, design, and other technical teams to plan and execute platform evolution;
* Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
**Your Challenge:**
* Lead the development and maintenance of the payments platform and checkout layer.
* Guarantee a consistent, seamless, and secure payment experience for end customers and brokers.
* Bridge business vision with technical execution, ensuring high availability and scalability.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technology fields.
* Experience in technical leadership and direct management of engineering teams, with emphasis on people development and delivery of highly complex projects.
* Proficiency in backend software development, with solid expertise in **Java**.
* Experience with cloud architecture (**AWS**) and integration tools (preferably **MuleSoft**).
* Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), ensuring efficient ceremonies and continuous delivery.
* Assertive communication skills to effectively navigate between technical and business domains.
* Analytical capability to make decisions under pressure and in ambiguous scenarios.
* Results-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement of team processes.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Knowledge of payment methods (gateways, acquirers, reconciliation).
* Prior experience with checkout layers in high-volume e-commerce platforms.
* Certifications in Agile Management or Software Architecture.
* Experience in legacy modernization or integration of heterogeneous technology stacks.
