Responsibilities and duties Perform corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance on machines, aiming to correct or improve productivity based on received instructions; Read, interpret, and develop general mechanical or hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams and information issued by testing devices to install or solve problems on machines, following guidance from more qualified professionals. Monitor and inspect the operation of machines, equipment, devices, accessories, performing maintenance and replacement of components, following guidance from more qualified professionals, aiming to minimize costs and unnecessary downtime, maintaining a high level of service quality and productivity. Prepare machines for operation by making adjustments, replacing components, and calibrations according to the type of product to be manufactured, as per received instructions. Monitor the operation of machines, equipment, devices, and accessories, performing maintenance and replacement of components, reporting any problems identified. Perform periodic/daily inspections, checking the functionality of mechanical controls on equipment/machinery, reporting defects to more qualified professionals. Install new machines and equipment, following technical manual requirements and instructions from more qualified professionals, integrating them into the preventive maintenance program. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, following requests to perform disassembly, cleaning, replacement of parts, and reassembly of machines and equipment; Implement improvements on equipment and machines, adapting devices to facilitate tasks and achieve better productivity, as per received instructions; Conduct component/part tests after the entire maintenance or repair process. Perform repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic systems of equipment, machinery, and vehicles (forklifts) owned by the company. Perform cleaning on air conditioning units, pipelines/mechanisms for raw material circulation and ready mixtures for machine feeding. Lubricate engines, gears, and other parts, controlling viscosity, color, level, results, and actions of lubricants. Clarify and educate operators on proper conditions and usage of machine resources and their equipment; Record and manage service orders, working hours, and services performed for requests sent to the department. Assess machines, equipment, and devices under risk conditions for fire, accidents, breakdowns, or evident signs indicating problems, immediately reporting to the immediate supervisor. Evaluate preservation conditions and performance of Equipment, Machinery, and Mechanical Systems across the entire production line, proposing replacements, corrective and preventive actions, etc., to the immediate supervisor. Assist higher-qualified mechanics when necessary, following received instructions. Handle and operate various types of tools, equipment, and measuring instruments used for electrical testing and repairs, cleaning, organizing, and storing them in appropriate locations. Ensure order and cleanliness of the workplace and safeguard the conservation, maintenance, organization, control, and compliance with quality management norms and procedures. Maintain order, maintenance, and preservation of work equipment and company assets in general. Comply with safety standards and procedures established by occupational safety regulations, using PPE and performing operations according to training and received instructions, ensuring personal and third-party safety. Perform other activities as required and determined by the immediate supervisor.
