About the role: Alcoa is seeking a Mechanic B to join our team at the Reduction unit of Alumar in São Luís, Maranhão. The main responsibilities of the role include:* Basic knowledge of machine elements, lubricants, lubrication systems, welding and cutting; * Read, interpret and identify parts and drawings in equipment catalogs and read and interpret hydraulic/pneumatic circuits, performing repairs on parts and/or components; * Perform mechanical maintenance on machines, equipment and installations in general, repairing or replacing parts, making adjustments, alignments and lubrication; * Perform assembly and disassembly of parts and equipment; * Properly use measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, tape measure, dial indicator, laser alignment tool, etc); * Inspect, re-tighten, adjust and eliminate abnormalities; * Perform cutting, welding, layout marking and control to enable fabrication and assembly of metal structures and piping; * Perform pre\-alignment of shafts, pulleys and couplings. What you can offer for the role:* Education: Technical degree in Electromechanics/Mechanics with active CFT – Federal Council of Industrial Technicians; * Desired: Experience in Maintenance in an Industrial area; * Desired: Knowledge in corrective and preventive maintenance of industrial equipment, ease in report writing and equipment history tracking.
