We strive to become an increasingly diverse Globo—in representation and thinking—learning from one another and fostering creativity and innovation. **Work Model:** Hybrid \- Rio de Janeiro/RJ **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your Day-to-Day Will Include:** * Developing, evolving, and maintaining applications and APIs supporting Globo’s critical platforms, ensuring quality, security, performance, and scalability; * Engaging in backend development focused on distributed services, including integrations and, when necessary, full-stack contributions; * Understanding and applying domain-specific business rules to ensure consistency and alignment with product requirements; * Planning and executing tasks autonomously, ensuring predictability and quality in team deliveries; * Writing clean, maintainable code aligned with software engineering best practices; * Actively participating in technical discussions, contributing to solution design and evaluating architectural trade-offs; * Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement—including technical debt reduction, performance optimization, and architectural evolution; * Collaborating with the team through code reviews, testing, and knowledge sharing; * Working closely with partner areas such as Product, UX, and other engineering teams to ensure the best possible end-user experience; * Acting as a team player committed to team goals and a collaborative environment; * Contributing to solution reliability and resilience, ensuring they support high traffic volumes and large datasets; * Participating in geographically distributed teams while maintaining clear and efficient communication; * Pursuing continuous growth—both technical and professional—by staying current with industry best practices and trends. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What You Need:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields; * Prior experience as a backend developer in production environments; * Practical experience with at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, or TypeScript; * Solid knowledge of REST API development and backend services; * Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB; * Experience with version control (Git) and code review practices; * Experience with automated testing (unit and integration); * Experience with load testing and application performance analysis; * Hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or similar), including understanding of services and distributed architecture; * Knowledge of distributed systems and/or microservices architecture; * Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD); * Familiarity with agile methodologies and multidisciplinary team collaboration; * Ability to understand business rules and translate them into scalable, resilient technical solutions. **Nice-to-Have Skills:** * Experience with high-scale systems and large volumes of data/traffic; * Knowledge of observability (logs, metrics, tracing); * Experience with messaging and asynchronous processing (e.g., queues, events); * Hands-on experience optimizing performance and troubleshooting in production; * Experience with backend application security best practices; * Knowledge of API design and versioning; * Experience with highly distributed, fault-tolerant environments. **Additional Information** **Why Join Globo:** Come and let’s create stories and technologies together.
