Hygiene and control of materials and inventory **\#OurWayRedefinesStories** **About the opportunity: Production Assistant \- CPAE** * Responsible for preparing nutritional diets for newborns, following guidance from the supervising nutritionist and medical prescriptions. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Receive containers of breast milk labeled with patient data, store them in appropriate locations, and record details to monitor expiration dates, ensuring newborn needs are met. * Prepare newborn nutritional diets by weighing and portioning stored milk, handling and/or mixing as necessary, and distributing doses to mothers in designated areas such as Inpatient Units or enclosed spaces, while storing remaining doses appropriately. * Handle nutritional formula preparations under supervision of nutrition technicians or nutritionists for microbiological analysis in specialized laboratories, and prepare duplicate samples by separating portions of handled diets, specifying batches and dates, recording them on control sheets, and storing them properly. * Distribute breast milk using appropriate insulated carriers, verifying labels against reports before delivering to each unit, and collect used materials for hygiene and sterilization. * Perform cleaning and washing of packaging and equipment, prepare them for transfer to the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), and receive sterilized materials for practical storage. * Receive changes in preparation instructions via telephone, transcribe them into diet reports, and adjust nutritional diets accordingly per medical prescriptions. * Measure refrigerator temperatures and record them on appropriate forms; monitor inventory levels of stored milk and alert responsible staff for restocking. Maintain updated shift-change notes by entering relevant observations in the Shift Handover Logbook for the incoming shift’s awareness.
