The Vice\-Presidency of Data \& AI serves as a strategic and operational hub aligning people, processes, and technology to drive innovation, efficiency, governance, and agility across all data-related initiatives. The Data Center of Excellence (CoE) is the first point of contact for federated Data \& AI demands, ensuring robust, secure, and scalable solutions aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. Perform data engineering, develop mathematical models, and implement algorithms and analytical visualizations to support various business areas in identifying business opportunities—both through cost, investment, and process optimization, and through revenue growth. Track technological and scientific advancements due to continuous improvements in algorithms, mathematical models, and Big Data technology platforms. Monitor changes in the telecommunications market to understand and anticipate market and consumer behavior trends, thereby delivering better insights and analytics to the business. Balance technical excellence of models and analyses against time constraints driven by business expectations (time\-to\-market) and computational limitations (large data volumes). Comply with requirements for maintaining the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and participate in Occupational Health and Safety programs. Be familiar with Telefônica’s Environmental Policy and implement it in daily activities to ensure sound environmental management practices within the company. Owner mindset, focus on scalability and resilience. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Lead the design and evaluate the data architecture to be used in solving a problem. * Build robust, scalable, and highly available pipelines. * Resolve critical incidents and serve as a technical reference. * Apply standards, best practices, and policies defined by the data governance team. * Implement observability processes (monitoring, alerts, logging). * Mentor Junior, Mid-level, and Senior Engineers; conduct code reviews. * Contribute to the data platform strategy and roadmap. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed Bachelor’s Degree \- Certificate of Completion * Advanced proficiency in SQL, pipelines, and distributed processing. * Solid experience with Azure cloud and data architecture. * Strong analytical capability for optimization and resolution of complex problems. * Experience with security, privacy, auditing, and data quality. * Practical experience with tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, PostgreSQL, Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC, Azure Data Factory (ADF), MongoDB, Kafka. Experience in projects involving AI, machine learning, and big data. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields. Desirable certifications: Azure Data Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, IU Data Security Fabric. Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Git, Docker, Kubernetes. Knowledge of LGPD, GDPR, and information security practices. Skills in technical documentation, communication with business areas, and technical leadership. Proven experience in data engineering within analytical and operational environments. Experience in projects using Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse. Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration (SAS, Talend, Alteryx). Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). Participation in data migration and legacy platform modernization projects.
