Responsibilities **Job Mission** Responsible for overseeing Occupational and Asset Safety Prevention activities, implementing standards and procedures aimed at preventing accidents, fires, and chemical emergencies, as well as ensuring compliance with current legislation. **Responsibilities*** Inspect—or ensure inspection and testing according to the established schedule—emergency response equipment and resources within the facility, identifying system vulnerabilities and taking appropriate action to ensure these resources remain readily available; * Contribute to the development of safety standards and procurement of safety devices, suggesting technical modifications to equipment and facilities; * Participate in and monitor workplace environmental measurements, authorize special work activities, propose necessary changes, and recommend rescue measures; * Monitor and/or document deviations identified across units, notifying and advising involved personnel regarding unsafe conditions and acts, indicating required procedures and precautions to safeguard health and physical integrity; * Organize fire prevention and chemical emergency awareness campaigns, delivering safety and occupational hygiene training sessions and lectures to raise employee and community awareness and education; * Conduct studies, research, and testing of new safety equipment, evaluating performance and issuing reports to support necessary modifications; * Participate in sizing and procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), collective protective equipment, and uniforms intended for emergency response, maintaining adequate stock levels for provision and replenishment, recording distribution to employees, and managing replacement schedules; * Ensure compliance with current legislation and adherence to organizational policies and health, occupational safety, and environmental standards; * Serve as the Technical Responsible for developing the Emergency Response Plan, ensuring this document remains aligned with legal requirements and site-specific needs, keeping it continually updated and training all involved personnel; * Organize and conduct on-site emergency drills according to established criticality levels, issuing reports and implementing improvement actions identified and agreed upon by the drill evaluation team; * Coordinate, jointly with the Human Resources department, the annual Emergency Brigade training, specifying the theoretical and practical curriculum to ensure the team receives appropriate initial and refresher training aligned with plant requirements; * Develop area performance indicators and present monthly results while monitoring implemented corrective actions; * Keep Emergency Brigade members updated on procedures, standards, and legislation relevant to firefighting activities; * Actively participate in Mutual Aid Plan (MAP) meetings, representing the company and fulfilling responsibilities stipulated in the MAP bylaws; * Provide full support for plant emergency calls, advising and supplying resources to firefighting teams to protect workers’ safety and integrity; * Ensure compliance with current legislation and adherence to organizational policies and health, occupational safety, and environmental standards through execution of assigned duties. Requirements **Education** * Completed Technical Education; * Civil Firefighter Certification; **Desired Knowledge*** Higher Education (Preferred); * Microsoft Office Suite; * Basic Rescue Concepts; * Fire Department Technical Instructions; * Regulatory Standards (NRs); Brazilian Technical Standards (NBRs) applicable to Occupational Safety; * Chemical Emergency Response.
