* Perform nursing procedures and assist patients of the Institution undergoing clinical and/or surgical treatment, following technical guidelines; * Assist in the preparation and administration of medications, vital signs monitoring, hygiene, feeding, position changing, dressings and other comprehensive patient care across various units of the Institution (Surgical Center, Obstetric Center, Sterilized Material Central, Outpatient Clinics and Inpatient Units), aiming to prevent adverse events for the patient. **Responsibilities and duties** * Perform nursing procedures and assist patients of the Institution undergoing clinical or surgical treatment, according to medical and nursing prescriptions, assisting in the preparation and administration of medications, vital signs monitoring, hygiene, feeding, position changing, dressings, specimen collection for tests, in the various units of the Institution (Surgical Center, Obstetric Center, Sterilized Material Central, Outpatient Clinics and Inpatient Units), always following internal protocols and received technical instructions; * Transfer preoperative patients to the Surgical Center and Obstetric Center, verifying surgical documentation; set up and circulate in the operating room, anticipating materials, medications and equipment according to established standards for the surgical procedure, performing nursing records, completing surgical room expense forms, checking instruments used during the procedure, as well as requesting concurrent cleaning; * Assist pregnant women during pre-delivery and newborns in the delivery room, identifying them with wristbands, accompany the Doctor or Nurse transporting the newborn via incubator to the nursery, carry out medical and nursing prescriptions, administer medications, provide general care during the first hours of life for the newborn and postpartum mother, bathe the newborn, perform umbilical cord stump dressing, guide mothers on breastfeeding, conduct PKU screening tests, assist in phototherapy treatments and monitor signs of hypothermia and hypoglycemia in newborns; * Restock outpatient clinics with necessary materials and medications, request their concurrent cleaning, and perform procedures prescribed by the Doctor or Nurse; * Escort patients to specific exams at the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support Service or specialized outpatient appointments, transporting them via wheelchair or stretcher according to their physical condition; * Notify the nurse in case of patient complications, to determine whether the responsible physician should be informed; * Review control and systematization records completed by the assigned nurse for service documentation and billing; * Perform tasks related to assembling surgical trays, cleaning, sterilization, disinfection, storage and distribution of instruments used in surgeries, using cleaning solutions and autoclaves for sterilization; * Monitor minimum stock levels of materials and medications, conduct checks, request supplies from the pharmacy, and return unused items if discontinued by the physician; * Participate in shift handover reports; * Perform nursing documentation; * Respond to requests made by patients and companions (verbally or through the call system); * Request warehouse supplies as directed by the Nurse in the absence of the clerk; * Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the unit’s area and permanent equipment, report to the nurse when repairs are needed for materials, equipment or facility infrastructure; * Perform other activities as required or deemed necessary by the unit's Nurse. **Requirements and qualifications** * Completed high school education;
