Job Summary: A plastic manufacturing company is seeking a Materials Engineer to lead materials engineering, support factory technical setup, and ensure compliance with international customer standards and requirements. Serve as a strategic interface among Production, Quality, and Customer A plastic manufacturing company seeks a Materials Engineer in Fazenda Rio Grande. **Responsibilities:** Lead plant-level materials engineering, defining technical criteria for selection, specification, and validation of polymers and engineering resins. Support technical setup of the factory during startup phase, including definition of standards, technical documentation, specifications, and procedures. Conduct raw material and supplier qualification, ensuring compliance with customer and headquarters requirements. Perform in-depth technical failure analysis (cracks, warpage, thermal degradation, dimensional variations, aesthetic issues), identifying root causes and action plans. Strategically interface among Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Customer. Provide technical support for high-precision plastic injection molding processes (components for the electronics industry). Participate in validations, laboratory testing, and First Article Inspection (FAI) / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), where applicable. Ensure compliance with international technical standards applicable to the electronics sector. Serve as the technical liaison between Brazil, China, and international customers, ensuring technical alignment and efficient communication. Previous experience as a Production Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Process Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer may indicate suitability for some responsibilities of this position. Bachelor's degree required.
