Conduct periodic 1:1s with developers and the QA team
Define and track individual development plans
Conduct performance evaluations
Support promotion, retention, and separation decisions
Identify and address underperformance cases
Drive team structure building and evolution
**Delivery Flow Management**
Define and sustain a predictable delivery rhythm (e.g., biweekly releases)
Ensure the team is prepared for each release cycle
Validate, together with responsible parties, whether deliveries are ready for publication
Avoid last-minute surprises (delays, instability, undefined scope)
Coordinate the release process (including validation and communication)
Ensure clear and consistent release notes production
**Development Process Health**
Define and adjust the working model (Kanban, sprints, or hybrid) pragmatically
Identify and remove workflow bottlenecks
Continuously improve team efficiency
Avoid bureaucracy and unnecessary ceremonies
Ensure the process serves the team—not the other way around
**Cross-Functional Coordination**
Act as a bridge between technical teams, product, and stakeholders
Align delivery expectations with team capacity
Shield the team from interruptions and constant priority shifts
Ensure clarity on what is being developed and why
**QA and Delivery Quality Management**
Structure and oversee the QA team’s work
Ensure testing processes are integrated into the development flow
Define readiness criteria for delivery (i.e., when something is “done”)
Organize bug triage and prioritization flow
Ensure confidence in releases
**Team Recruitment and Growth**
Lead hiring processes (screening, interviews, evaluation)
Support definition of new roles
Structure the onboarding process for new members
Ensure team growth occurs in an organized manner
**What are the prerequisites?**
Prior experience in software development or engineering environments
Ability to understand and discuss technical topics with developers and Tech Leads
Familiarity with modern development practices (APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, testing)
Experience with production systems and understanding of their operational challenges
Ability to evaluate trade-offs among delivery speed, quality, and technical complexity
**Desirable:**
Prior experience as a software developer
Experience with complex or data-intensive systems
Familiarity with infrastructure and deployment concepts
