Professional responsible for developing and implementing occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, conducting audits, identifying variables related to disease control, and designing educational initiatives.

The **UPAs** \- **Urgent Care Units** are defined as intermediate-complexity health establishments positioned between Basic Health Units/Family Health Strategy (BHU/FHS) and the Hospital Network, forming, together with these, an organized network for urgent care, in accordance with the guidelines of the National Policy for Urgent Care.
UPAs operate 24 hours a day and provide urgent and emergency medical care for adults and children, with the possibility of incorporating additional medical specialties such as Orthopedics, depending on regional needs.
Care is delivered through a Triage System with Risk Classification, which establishes time priorities for medical attention based on patient severity. In addition, services include observation beds, performance of urgent laboratory tests, imaging exams, sutures, inhalation therapy, medication administration, and, when necessary, referral of critically ill patients—after stabilization—to the Reference Hospital.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Develop and participate in the development and implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Policy;
* Conduct audits and monitor and evaluate work areas;
* Identify variables related to disease control, accidents, quality of life, and environmental conditions;
* Develop educational initiatives in the field of occupational health and safety;
* Participate in expert evaluations and inspections and engage in negotiation processes;
* Participate in the implementation of technologies and work processes inherent to the area’s activities;
* Provide occupational health and safety (OHS) documentation;
* Investigate and analyze accidents and recommend prevention and control measures;
* Distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
* Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Medicine regulations;
* Prepare the Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA), Technical Justifications, Technical Reports, and official letters;
* Conduct environmental assessments (temperature, noise, illumination levels);
* Evaluate fire prevention and firefighting equipment;
* Perform qualitative and quantitative surveys of fire extinguishers and hoses for recharging, maintenance, and hydrostatic testing;
* Perform qualitative and quantitative surveys and distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
* Establish the Internal Accident Prevention Committee (CIPA), as required by the unit;
* Attend monthly meetings;
* Comply with all principles and conduct criteria outlined in the Administrative Compliance Manual \- SPDM Policies and Integrity Principles;
* Carry out institutional responsibilities regarding personal data protection practices \- LGPD;
* Perform departmental/sectoral duties in accordance with instructions from the immediate supervisor and institutional standards.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed High School education
* Completed Occupational Health and Safety Technician course
* Minimum six months of verified experience as an Occupational Health and Safety Technician in the hospital sector.

* Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
