Flexibility and adaptability ### **Job Description** The Relief Nurse is the professional responsible for delivering safe, humanized, and high-quality nursing care, covering shifts, leaves, vacations, or absences of the permanent staff. Works across different departments of the institution as required, ensuring continuity of patient care and compliance with institutional protocols. ### **Main Responsibilities** * Provide direct patient care, performing assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions. * Administer medications and treatments according to medical prescriptions and institutional protocols. * Supervise and guide nursing technicians and assistants. * Maintain accurate and complete documentation in patient records. * Participate in prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections. * Participate in more complex procedures when necessary. * Ensure compliance with patient safety standards. * Adapt\-quickly to different departments and work teams. * Support the multidisciplinary team in providing comprehensive patient care. * Fulfill variable shift schedules, including weekends and holidays. ### **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Nursing. * Active registration with the Regional Nursing Council (COREN). * Prior experience in the hospital setting (preferred). * Availability for flexible working hours. * Knowledge of clinical protocols and hospital routines. ### **Behavioral Competencies** * Flexibility and adaptability. * Organization and accountability. * Strong interpersonal communication skills. * Teamwork. * Proactivity and decision-making ability. * Ethics and professional conduct. ### **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience across multiple departments (ICU, medical ward, emergency department, operating room). * Continuing education courses in clinical care.
