The Automated Molding Machine Operator works in the leather artifact development sector, responsible for operating and controlling automated equipment used in molding, cutting, engraving, or forming leather product components. Their duties include programming and adjusting machines for prototype or small-batch production, replacing molds or dies according to technical specifications, and ensuring items comply with quality and design standards. They serve as a link between design modeling and precise physical component execution. **Job Requirements:** **Education:** * Completed high school (preferably Technical School in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Leatherworking, or related fields); * Courses in CNC machine operation, automated cutting, laser engraving, or similar are advantageous. **Experience:** * Experience operating automated machines in garment manufacturing, leatherworking, printing, metalworking, or light industry; * Familiarity with reading technical sheets and interpreting drawings. **Technical Skills:** * Operation of automated cutting machines, laser engraving machines, presses, or low-complexity CNCs; * Simple mechanical adjustments and calibrations; * Reading and interpretation of technical drawings; * Basic metrology knowledge (calipers, rulers, squares, etc.); * Knowledge of applicable materials (leather, synthetics, linings, foams, etc.). **Behavioral Competencies:** * Attention to detail and precision; * Responsibility and care toward machines and tools; * Agility and organization; * Ability to work in a team; * Proactivity and initiative in resolving operational issues; * Commitment to quality and deadlines **1\. Automated Machine Operation** * Operate equipment such as CNC cutters, laser engraving machines, hydraulic presses, thermoforming machines, and others used for molding leather and synthetic parts; * Adjust machine operating parameters according to technical sheet specifications or guidance from the modeling department; * Monitor automated systems to ensure dimensional accuracy of molded parts. **2\. Mold / Die Fabrication and Replacement** * Install or replace molds, cutting knives, forms, or dies on machines according to the production model; * Conduct mold alignment and adjustment tests; * Support the creation of new tools and fixtures as required by the development department. **3\. Technical Component Production** * Perform cutting, engraving, folding, or forming of components comprising prototypes or final products; * Ensure dimensional and aesthetic fidelity of parts per design specifications; * Conduct measurements and quality control of produced parts. **4\. Cleaning, Finishing, and Organization** * Remove burrs or excess material from molded parts; * Maintain cleanliness of machines and workstations; * Properly identify and store tools and molds. **5\. Operational Maintenance** * Perform basic adjustments and preventive maintenance on equipment; * Report malfunctions, abnormal noises, or improper operation to responsible departments; * Track usage time and wear of tools and molds.
