Job Summary: The Collections Operator will be responsible for contacting customers, negotiating debts, updating data, and entering information into collections systems, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. Maintenance and updating of accurate records regarding customers and debts. Main responsibilities of a Collections Operator: * **Customer Contact:** * Telephone calls, sending e\-mails, or messaging via apps to remind or negotiate overdue debts. * Reactive and proactive customer service (receiving and making calls). * **Debt Negotiation:** * Offering payment options (installment plans, discounts, new deadlines). * Recording agreements reached and monitoring their fulfillment. * **Data Updating:** * Updating customer records and maintaining accurate information about customers and their debts. * **Control and Reporting:** * Entering data into collections systems. Important Skills: * Strong communication and active listening. * Persuasion and negotiation. * Organization and goal orientation. * Patience and empathy, especially when dealing with dissatisfied or financially distressed customers. * Basic computer literacy and familiarity with collections systems (e.g., CRMs or ERPs).
