As a **Software Engineer \- GenIA Traffic** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, applying sound engineering practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning — all toward the purpose of democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for:** * Being part of the Cloud \& Platform team focused on developing AI-based tools to support MeLi's traffic area. * Having visibility into the variety of tooling options available for building different potential solutions. * Exercising autonomy to deeply explore problems, solutions, and dynamics within traffic teams. * Developing and testing AI-driven automation prototypes and MVPs to validate value and scalability. * Staying up to date with the (internal and external) AI ecosystem and actively seeking new approaches and possibilities. **What we’re looking for in you:** * Solid software engineering knowledge. * Understanding of fundamental traffic concepts, such as: Load Balancers, Circuit Breakers, SSL, Gateways, Routing, HTTP, HTTPS. * Knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud platforms and hands-on experience with Python, Java, and/or Go. * Basic understanding of AI concepts (e.g., LLMs, MCPs) and practical experience with diverse AI tools. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin American technology?** Apply now and join our mission!
