The Electronic Security Technician is a professional responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic security systems, including alarms, surveillance cameras (CCTV), access control systems, fire detection systems, and other security-related devices. This professional plays a critical role in protecting property and people by ensuring that security systems operate correctly and remain up to date.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Security System Installation: Assembly and Configuration:** Install electronic security equipment such as surveillance cameras, motion sensors, alarms, intercoms, and access control systems.
**Cabling and Infrastructure:** Perform necessary cabling for security systems, ensuring cable organization and protection in compliance with technical standards.
**Equipment Programming:** Configure and program security devices to operate according to technical specifications and customer requirements.
* **Maintenance and Technical Support: Problem Diagnosis:** Identify and resolve issues in electronic security systems by conducting tests and inspections to ensure proper functionality.
**Preventive Maintenance:** Perform preventive maintenance on installed systems, replacing worn components or updating software and firmware to improve performance and security.
**Customer Support:** Provide technical support to customers, clarifying questions about system operation and guiding correct usage of security devices.
* **Monitoring and Control: Remote Monitoring:** Configure remote monitoring systems, enabling customers to access and control security systems remotely via the internet or mobile applications.

* **Updates and Training: Emerging Technology Monitoring:** Stay current with new technologies and trends in the electronic security market by participating in training courses and certifications.
**Team Training:** Train internal teams and customers on operating and maintaining security systems, ensuring all users can effectively utilize the equipment.
**Requirements:**
* **Education:** Completed high school; technical training in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics, or related fields is preferred.
Specific certifications in electronic security systems are highly desirable.
* **Experience:** Prior experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems, such as CCTV, alarms, and access control.
Knowledge of computer networks and IT infrastructure applied to electronic security.
