Responsibilities and Duties Perform corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance on machines, aiming to correct or improve productivity, based on received instructions; Read, interpret, and develop general mechanical or hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and information issued by testing equipment to install or troubleshoot machines, following guidance from more qualified professionals. Monitor and inspect the operation of machines, equipment, devices, and accessories, performing maintenance and replacement of components, following guidance from more qualified professionals, aiming to minimize costs and unnecessary downtime while maintaining a high level of service quality and productivity. Prepare machines for operation by performing adjustments, component replacements, and calibrations according to the type of product to be manufactured, as per received instructions. Monitor the operation of machines, equipment, devices, and accessories, performing maintenance and replacement of components, reporting any identified issues. Conduct periodic/daily inspections, checking the operation of mechanical controls on Equipment/Machinery and reporting defects to more qualified professionals. Install new machines and equipment, complying with technical manual requirements and instructions from more qualified professionals, incorporating them into the preventive maintenance program. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, following requests to disassemble, clean, replace parts, and reassemble machines and equipment; Improve equipment and machines by adapting devices to facilitate tasks and achieve better productivity, as per received instructions; Conduct component/part tests after the entire maintenance and/or repair process. Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems of company equipment, machinery, and vehicles (forklifts). Clean air conditioning units, pipelines/mechanisms for circulation of raw materials and ready-mixed compounds for machine feeding. Lubricate motors, gears, and other parts, controlling viscosity, color, level, performance, and action of lubricating agents. Clarify and raise operators’ awareness regarding proper machine and equipment conditions and usage; Record and control Service Orders, hours worked, and services performed for requests forwarded to the Department. Assess machines, equipment, and devices for fire, accident, breakdown, or evident failure risk, immediately informing the immediate supervisor. Evaluate the condition and performance of Equipment, Machinery, and Mechanical Systems across the entire production line, proposing replacements, corrective actions, preventive measures, etc., to the immediate supervisor. Assist more qualified mechanics when necessary, following received instructions. Handle and operate various types of tools, equipment, and measuring instruments used for electrical testing and repairs, cleaning, organizing, and storing them in appropriate locations. Maintain order and cleanliness at your workplace and ensure conservation and maintenance of company assets, as well as organization, control, and compliance with quality management standards and procedures. Maintain order, maintenance, and conservation of work equipment and company assets in general. Comply with safety-at-work standards and procedures, using PPE and executing operations according to training and received instructions, ensuring your own safety and that of others. Perform other activities as required and at the discretion of the immediate supervisor. Requirements and Qualifications * Completed technical course in maintenance. * Experience in industrial machinery maintenance—extruder experience is a plus; * NR35 – Valid certification for work at heights; * Course in maintenance mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics; * Full availability of working hours is essential; 2512300202491715933
