The HRD Manager reports to the Director of HR, Communication \& Sustainability and works closely with both the Director and the HR Manager. You will become part of the HRD department, comprising a total of 3 employees, and will also collaborate closely with all 12 colleagues across HR. The HRD department continuously develops and implements new developmental projects for the entire KNI A/S. We aim to be a key player in Greenlandic society, delivering vital public services, and serving as both a training ground and workplace for skilled, development-oriented individuals with global perspectives and business acumen. For HRD, it is essential that the team shares clear understanding of the company’s business objectives, plans, and challenges — both short- and long-term — and of what organizational capabilities the company must deliver, such as enhanced customer focus, increased mobility, and greater cost awareness. HRD must ensure shared understanding and application of a strong linkage between HRD initiatives and business needs, so that the organization is equipped to deliver on KNI’s goals and results. **As HRD Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:** * Ensuring daily operations in close collaboration with the HR Manager and the Director of HR, Communication \& Sustainability * Coordinating and delegating tasks * Implementing and supporting the HR strategy, strategic plan, and KNI’s values * Coordinating development initiatives, including planning and executing courses, training programs, and other competence development activities * Trainee administration, as well as mentoring and supporting trainee mentors across the coast * Planning, launching, and coordinating new cross-organizational initiatives * Participating in diverse HR and HRD projects * Contributing to ESG-related initiatives within the HR domain — experience with ESG is an advantage but not a requirement, as these competencies can be developed on the job in collaboration with the HR Manager and the Director **We seek a candidate who:** * Holds a relevant academic degree or substantial professional experience in HR and/or competence development * Has experience working strategically and translating strategy into practice * Is versatile, responsible, open-minded, possesses a positive outlook on life, and is a team player * Maintains a broad overview and can work cross-functionally across departments and disciplines * Can work independently and proactively, and contribute fresh ideas **We offer the right candidate:** * Salary commensurate with qualifications, based on individual terms * For applicants from outside Greenland, housing may be provided; rent, deposit, utilities, etc., apply according to prevailing regulations If you require further information about the position, please contact the Director of HR, Communication \& Sustainability, Juliane H.
