In 2020, Eurofins generated total revenue of EUR 5.4 billion and ranks among Europe’s top-performing stocks over the past 20 years. **Job Description** ------------------------ **Conduct quotation and procurement activities for productive and non-productive materials, services, general-use equipment (CAPEX and non-CAPEX), furniture, and facilities in local and international markets, safeguarding the company’s supply chain, meeting delivery deadlines, and securing optimal commercial terms for all group units** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Receive internal customer purchase requisitions, analyze them, and verify supplier feasibility of supply; * Request quotations from suppliers for subsequent comparison of proposals on price, payment terms, quality, and delivery lead times; * Contact, negotiate with, and develop suppliers to secure optimal purchasing conditions while maintaining product and service quality; * Follow up on placed orders to meet delivery deadlines requested by internal departments; * Take timely action when orders fail to arrive as agreed—returning goods and/or renegotiating with suppliers; * In cases of delay, the buyer must take appropriate measures (e.g., sourcing from alternative suppliers) to prevent material shortages for requesting departments; * Conduct market research for new suppliers based on criteria including price, quality, supply lead time, exclusivity, and standardization; * Meet with sales representatives/commercial agents in person, by phone, or via e-mail to prospect new suppliers, conduct negotiations, and evaluate or learn about new products or services; * Prepare reports and facilitate communication between requesters and suppliers; * Deliver internal training to guide colleagues on correct procedures related to departmental activities; * Perform other related duties as determined by the immediate supervisor; * Maintain up-to-date knowledge and inform various departments of new techniques, processes, and products that can effectively contribute to cost reduction and quality improvement; * Continuously seek new alternatives to strengthen cost-benefit ratios and reinforce organizational competitiveness, always aiming to reduce costs for the Eurofins Group. **OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Demonstrate attitudes consistent with Eurofins’ values—refer to the company website or Integration Manual; * Comply with QSMS requirements relevant to operational areas: 1) Food & Environment Division: ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025, ABNT NBR ISO 14001, and BS OHSAS 18001. 2) Clinical Division (Diagnostic Medicine): PALC, LGPD, ANVISA, and ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 9001. 3) Agroscience Division: GLP standards. * Commitment to continuous improvement, development of the quality, health, safety, and environmental management system, and awareness of aspects/impacts and hazards/risks associated with one’s own activities. **Qualifications** ----------------- **REQUIRED PROFILE:** **Behavioral Competencies:** Commitment, strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, organization, discipline, proactivity, dynamism, agility, negotiation ability, transparency, time management, credibility, and analytical and communicative skills. **Required Education:** Bachelor’s degree completed in Administration, Logistics, Finance, Economics, International Trade, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. **Additional Education:** Specialization in the field is an advantage. **Languages and Expected Proficiency:** Intermediate English. Spanish is an advantage. **Previous Experience (Type and Duration):** * 3–5 years of experience in procurement-related roles. * Experience in negotiations—from medium-scale to large-scale—for indirect procurement, investments, CAPEX, and equipment. **Technical Knowledge:** Negotiation techniques.
