Tax Responsibilities * Supervise the company’s tax bookkeeping activities, including registration and accounting routines, calculation and payment of taxes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies; * Calculate and record write-offs of fixed assets sold or discarded; * Perform review and reconciliation of tax bookkeeping and tax calculations; * Supervise and prepare documents for municipal, state, and federal tax payments, observing applicable legislation in each case; * Prepare requests for tax clearance certificates and applications for special taxation regimes with public agencies; * Monitor and control requests for authorization to print fiscal invoices, timely submitting such requests to ensure availability of these fiscal documents; * Monitor ICMS, IPI, and other tax legislation, providing necessary guidance to other company departments involved in issuing or receiving fiscal documents; * Complete federal, state, and municipal declarations and documents related to compliance with ancillary obligations; * Responsible for providing responses, information, and documents required during tax audits, when necessary; * Advise other departments on tax and fiscal matters by monitoring relevant legislation and obtaining information from tax offices, media, and specialized publications; * Supervise and perform calculation of taxes due on company transactions, including calculation and withholding of third-party taxes; * Conduct tax classification analysis to verify tax incidence, rates, etc., providing necessary guidance to all company departments responsible for issuing, recording, or processing fiscal documents, aiming to prevent fines, cargo holds, or other penalties from tax authorities; * Responsible for defining tax calculation parameters according to the type of transaction performed, for configuring the fiscal invoice issuance system; * Calculate, classify, and record revenue attributable to financial investments; * Identify solutions for tax-related issues, clarifying doubts regarding fiscal document issuance; * Advise service providers on service invoice issuance, informing them about applicable taxes; * Stay updated on federal, state, and municipal tax legislation; Accounting Responsibilities * Reconcile asset, liability, expense, and revenue accounts, identifying and implementing necessary adjustments; * Control, calculate, classify, and record monthly allocation of expenses recorded in subsequent fiscal year accounts; * Classify and record accounting documents; * Prepare submissions for IBGE and SPED Contábil obligations; * Perform calculations, entries, and accounting controls for monetary corrections and depreciation of assets; * Classify and prepare various journal entries, such as billing, payroll, receipts, bank statements, etc.; * Responsible for accounting and financial reports, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Trial Balances; * File records with public agencies and registries, such as the Board of Trade, completing and submitting required documents; * Control the issuance and registration of Daily Journal, General Ledger, and other books required for recording company activities; * Maintain a tidy and organized workplace; * Comply with current Quality and Environmental standards; * Adhere to company policies and procedures; * Respect and follow instructions from Immediate and/or Mediate Supervisors; * Maintain confidentiality regarding matters handled within the company; * Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
