A professional responsible for performing plumbing work, interpreting drawings, and carrying out installation, repair, and maintenance of piping and systems in compliance with safety standards.

**Requirements:** Elementary education
Proven work experience as a Plumbing Assistant, Semi-Skilled Plumber, Industrial Plumber, or Plumber
**Courses:**
Grooved Pipe Couplings; Sprinkler Systems; Piping and Fitting Preparation; Industrial Maintenance
**Responsibilities:**
Perform tasks by interpreting drawings, schematics, specifications, and other information to plan the operational sequence;
Mark locations for pipe placement, joints, and holes in walls, masonry, and soil excavations using marking tools or instruments to guide system installation; excavate trenches in soil and drill holes or cut grooves in walls and masonry using manual or mechanical excavation tools; perform cutting operations using hand and mechanical equipment, threading machines, and pipe-bending benches to establish the fluid conveyance line;
Connect piping to fixtures and other installation components such as valves, pumps, water supply, and sewage systems using hand tools and sealing materials to complete designed installations;
Locate and repair fluid leaks using appropriate techniques, tools, and materials, replacing or restoring component parts to ensure proper system operation;
Isolate steam, water, compressed air, crude oil, and derivatives lines by installing blind flanges or spades to allow isolation of specific sections; clean filters at their installed locations by removing screens and cleaning them with compressed air and other cleaning materials to restore normal operating conditions;
Compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures inherent to the position.
