We are seeking a Fundamental II Science Teacher (6th to 9th Grade) responsible for promoting the development of scientific thinking in a critical, investigative, and contextualized manner. Acts as a knowledge mediator, encouraging curiosity, intellectual autonomy, and students’ analytical capacity—skills that progressively expand during this stage, particularly in abstraction, argumentation, and systematization of ideas. Inspired by constructivist approaches, such as those proposed by Jean Piaget, understands that learning occurs through problematization, hypothesis formulation, experimentation, and reflection. Plans and delivers lessons integrating theory and practice—including experiments, research, case studies, debates, and interdisciplinary projects—encouraging students to connect scientific content with everyday life, societal issues, and environmental concerns. In daily school practice, designs learning situations that foster investigation, data analysis, evidence-based argumentation, and construction of scientific explanations. Encourages collaborative work and youth agency, promoting an environment of respect, dialogue, and active listening. Monitors individual and collective class development, adapts pedagogical strategies when necessary, and employs assessment as an ongoing, formative process—valuing students’ learning journey, participation, and progress.
