A **Ramp Assistant** will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft with safety, quality, and punctuality, ensuring process efficiency and contributing to customers’ perception of the company’s services regarding baggage and cargo transportation and flight punctuality. Assist with aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when required. **This position is exclusively for Campina Grande Airport (CPV)!** --------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Responsibilities and Duties** * Supervise aircraft during arrivals and departures; * Verify and supervise baggage and cargo labels; * Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Client Manual or dnata’s MGO; * Through reading baggage and cargo identification labels (with or without technological assistance), sort volumes in airport sorting areas to load them onto appropriate storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for correct flights; * Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following standards and procedures outlined in the MGO, including special handling instructions (e.g., fragile, dangerous, live animals, perishable items); * Through reading volume identification labels, unload baggage and cargo and place them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels); * Sort baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate interline connections by reading volume identification labels; * Inspect and monitor baggage and cargo packaging to ensure suitability for transport, thereby guaranteeing flight and handler safety; * Properly handle and allocate baggage and cargo within aircraft holds, observing internal restraint and hold height safety limits; * Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers and place them at designated locations; * Perform equipment marshalling during docking procedures to prevent collisions with the aircraft fuselage; * Handle aircraft within established timeframes per service type and airport classification; * Conduct pre-use inspections on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report defective equipment to the GSE Technical Maintenance team; * Report any equipment anomalies during operations to supervisors. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; * Strong interpersonal communication skills; * Analytical ability to assess situations; * Stress resistance; Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal standing posture for performing tasks, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area. Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from carousels to transport equipment, chocking, aircraft loading and unloading with bags and cargo, signaling around the flight being handled, and floor inspection and scanning for dropped objects; auditory perception to identify audible signals from equipment and machinery on the tarmac.
