





Job Description: The Junior IT Technician is the professional responsible for ensuring the full operation of computer laboratories, providing efficient technical support and maintaining technological environments suitable for academic and administrative needs. Their role includes user assistance, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, and system updates—directly contributing to the continuity of institutional activities. With a proactive, organized, and collaborative attitude, this professional reinforces the institution’s commitment to secure, functional, and well-prepared technological environments that support teaching and learning processes. Responsibilities and Duties * Provide first-level technical support in computer laboratories, resolving incidents related to hardware, software, network, and peripherals; * Install, configure, and update operating systems, educational software, and institutional tools according to standards defined by the IT Department (DTI); * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance routines on IT equipment—including desktop computers, projectors, printers, and other peripherals; * Monitor equipment operation and report high-complexity failures to the infrastructure team or vendors; * Support faculty and students in the proper use of technological resources during classes and practical activities; * Ensure organization, cleanliness, and preservation of laboratories and equipment under their responsibility; * Manage equipment and peripheral checkouts, returns, and inventory; * Participate in testing, implementation, and validation of new systems and technologies; * Contribute to technical documentation of environments and operational procedures; * Perform other related tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor.
