Job Description: * Operate a forklift to store, transport, or retrieve goods; * Respond promptly to work orders; * Visually inspect loading and unloading operations; * Verify contents, weight, and volume of loads; * Select appropriate material handling equipment based on the load; * Forecast materials required for storage (stratum, pallet, lining); * Plan sequence of material handling operations; * Use forklift accessories according to load type; * Load cargo as scheduled and in accordance with equipment capacity; * Restock goods per warehouse layout and/or as needed for order picking; * Monitor equipment operating conditions during operation; * Control equipment speed and direction of operation; * Unload and store scheduled items; maintain a hygienic work environment; * Verify product expiration dates; * Inspect the cargo storage area; * Delimit areas designated for cargo handling; * Identify handled cargo; * Interpret packaging symbols; * Store cargo according to product expiration dates; * Identify cargo characteristics for transportation and storage; * Consult manufacturers' instructions for equipment use and maintenance; * Inspect basic operational components of material handling equipment; * Test equipment functionality; * Identify malfunctions and damages; * Self-assess psycho-physical condition prior to task execution; * Identify unsafe situations.
