




Description: * Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; * Postgraduate degree in Hospital Auditing or related field is desirable; * Intermediate computer skills; * Active COREN registration; * Prior experience in the field is desirable; * Availability to work as a relief nurse for the department. 1. Apply and monitor compliance with the legal practice of the profession, adhering to applicable legislation and the Nursing Code of Ethics; 2. Know and comply with clinical care protocols, nursing standards/routines, and infection control guidelines; 3. Monitor and analyze departmental performance indicators; 4. Implement patient safety protocols; 5. Participate in systematic hospital infection control; 6. Conduct team meetings whenever necessary; 7. Perform other duties inherent to the role, as directed by the immediate supervisor; 8. Collaborate in reviewing standards and routines; 9. Review nursing records and documentation, signing and stamping them accordingly; 10. Update the departmental performance indicator spreadsheet; 11. Participate in occupational health and safety programs and accident prevention initiatives; 12. Participate in the implementation of the Quality Management System within the area of responsibility; 13. Suggest and participate in implementing workflow processes and technical procedures; 14. Participate in institutional committees when requested; 15. Monitor actions required to schedule internal examinations for users of the unit; 16. Provide necessary materials to enable the nursing team to deliver high-quality care; 17. Be present in the assigned work area during scheduled hours, complying with institutional protocols; 18. Ensure adherence to the Process Interaction Agreement; 19. Immediately escalate non-conformities to the immediate supervisor; 20. Respect sector-specific regulatory instruments; 21. Comply with labor laws, external regulations and codes, internal policies, and follow instructions outlined in the Employee Handbook; 22. Maintain strict ethical conduct and promote ethical behavior among all professionals; 23. Understand and monitor general departmental routines through forms, work instructions, and other relevant documents; 24. Interface with the Emergency Department team after medical evaluation of patients eligible for internal or external bed allocation; 25. Assist the NIR team in defining, evaluating, and prioritizing patients for available internal or external bed placement; 26. Coordinate with the Transport Department for patient transfer to or from the Emergency Department; 27. Contribute to NIR development through responsibilities associated with the Nurse position; 28. Determine which patients require admission to a ward bed or are eligible for transfer to an internal or external backup bed; 29. Carry out duties with focus on continuous improvement of institutional processes, assisting with vacation, leave, or emergency staffing coverage as needed or upon request by the immediate supervisor. 30. Use resources (equipment, PPE, supplies, and facilities) responsibly, promptly reporting any issues or anomalies to the supervisor and safeguarding institutional assets. 31. Fully comply with the Integrity Code and the Institutional Service Excellence Standard. 32.
