This is a high\-impact role requiring deep expertise in federal and multi\-state US tax law. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation, capable of managing complex tax matters while ensuring compliance in a fast\-paced, remote environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Oversee and manage all aspects of US federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings * Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's overall tax position * Provide expert guidance on the tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and corporate structures * Lead the tax provision process (ASC 740\) and coordinate with external auditors during financial reviews * Monitor and interpret changes in US tax legislation and assess the impact on business operations * Manage relationships with external tax advisors, consultants, and regulatory agencies * Oversee and respond to federal and state tax audits, notices, and inquiries * Partner with Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to support M\&A, restructuring, and strategic business initiatives * Build, mentor, and develop junior tax team members **Required Qualifications** * In\-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax law — non\-negotiable * Demonstrated experience managing tax compliance and planning in a corporate or public accounting environment * Hands\-on experience with ASC 740 income tax provision and reporting * CPA designation required; advanced degree in Taxation or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred * Strong analytical, research, and problem\-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail * Excellent written and verbal English communication; must be comfortable advising and presenting to executive stakeholders * Must have prior remote work experience, be proficient with remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, or similar), and have worked with US\-based companies.
