Job Summary: Production Operator responsible for operating equipment in the optical fiber manufacturing process, ensuring quality and meeting environmental requirements. Key Highlights: 1. Contributing to the organization and cleanliness of the production area *We are seeking a Production Operator to join our team. Based in Sorocaba, Boa Vista unit, you will be responsible for:* Team Overview and Responsibilities: This position’s mission is to operate equipment belonging to one or more stages of the optical fiber manufacturing process, thereby ensuring product quality, as well as performing assigned activities to meet environmental requirements relevant to your area, by following established instructions and procedures. Main Responsibilities: * Operate equipment relevant to PCVD/RIT, Drawing Tower, and/or Measuring production processes, manipulating control devices, observing and monitoring equipment operation, thus contributing to optical fiber production. * Verify process parameters on the respective checklists prior to commencing operations, observing and adhering to pre-established guidelines to achieve the desired outcome. * Complete Equipment Process Control Sheets and enter required "inputs" into the integrated information system, ensuring up-to-date information is available to stakeholders and providing support to the immediate supervisor for decision-making. * Monitor activities inherent to the Production Area, anticipating potential issues and identifying abnormalities in equipment or the optical fiber manufacturing process, with the aim of notifying the immediate supervisor so that appropriate actions can be taken to prevent qualitative or quantitative decline in production. * Interpret tables and graphs related to equipment operation during the optical fiber manufacturing process, seeking guidance from the immediate supervisor whenever necessary to correctly perform tasks. * Complete shift handover documentation with pertinent information regarding quantity and other relevant data about optical fiber produced during the shift, to report production performance to the immediate supervisor and involved personnel. * Pay attention to received Occupational Health and Safety instructions, follow guidelines, and use designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), thereby safeguarding your own safety and that of your colleagues. * Contribute to organizing and cleaning the Production Area premises, maintaining tools and instruments orderly and assisting in debris removal. * Know and comply with procedures and instructions for disposal of industrial waste relevant to your area, as well as generate and complete all documentation required for proper functioning of the Environmental Management System. * Participate in internal and external training sessions, as needed and directed by the immediate supervisor, pursuing professional and personal development through technical enhancement and updating. * Collaborate in maintaining the Company’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems, becoming familiar with instructions and procedures pre-established for your area of responsibility and ensuring their implementation. * Perform other related professional duties inherent to this position, as instructed or requested by the immediate supervisor. * Know and understand Prysmian’s HSE policy and procedures; * Comply with legal and company HSE requirements, as well as SGS/SGS requirements, according to your competence and the awareness and training received; * Protect the environment and report HSE-related incidents and unsafe conditions to the direct responsible person and/or HSE. *Who Are We Looking For?* * Completed high school education. *Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
