The **Ramp Assistant** will perform ramp handling operations (sorting, loading, and unloading) for aircraft safely, with quality and punctuality, ensuring process efficiency and supporting the customer’s perception of the company’s services regarding baggage and cargo transportation, as well as flight punctuality. Assist with aircraft arrivals and departures, and perform aircraft cleaning when required.
**This position is exclusively for the Boa Vista Airport (BVB)!**

**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Monitor aircraft during arrivals and departures;
* Verify and monitor baggage and cargo labels;
* Place and remove wheel chocks and cones on aircraft according to the Customer Manual or dnata’s MGO;
* Through reading baggage and cargo identification labels (with or without technological assistance), sort items in airport sorting areas to load them onto appropriate storage devices (carts and/or ULDs) for correct flights;
* Load baggage and cargo into aircraft holds following norms and procedures outlined in the MGO, in accordance with recommendations for identifying special situations (fragile, dangerous, live animals, perishable cargo);
* Through reading volume identification labels, unload baggage and cargo, placing them at designated locations (baggage reclaim carousels);
* Sort baggage and cargo during aircraft unloading to facilitate interline connections by reading volume identification labels;
* Inspect and supervise baggage and cargo packaging, verifying suitability for transport to ensure flight and handler safety;
* Correctly handle and appropriately place baggage and cargo into aircraft holds, observing internal restraint requirements and hold height safety limits;
* Unload wheelchairs or baby strollers, placing them at designated locations;
* Perform equipment marshalling during coupling procedures with aircraft to prevent fuselage collisions;
* Service aircraft within established timeframes for each service type and airport classification;
* Conduct pre-use checklists on non-motorized equipment to ensure operational safety and report equipment requiring repair to the GSE Technical Maintenance team;
* Report any equipment malfunctions during operations to supervisors.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Completed high school education;
* Strong interpersonal communication skills;
* Analytical ability to assess situations;
* Stress resilience;
Physical requirements include broad and fine motor coordination, dexterity, upper and lower limb articulation, bipedal posture for performing duties, trunk rotation and flexion, physical effort, and walking throughout the entire operational area.
Sensory requirements include visual acuity for moving baggage from carousels to transport equipment, chocking, aircraft loading/unloading with bags and cargo, flight-related signaling, and floor inspection/sweeping to collect fallen objects; auditory perception to identify audible signals from equipment and machinery on the tarmac.
Neuropsychological requirements include attention, concentration, organizational skills, data interpretation, and initiative to resolve causal situations.
