If you wish to check the status of your application, please log in to our careers page using your candidate login credentials, as it will reflect any updates.** **Position Profile / Responsibilities:** * Support delivery of a lean, responsive and resilient flow of materials and services to the facility, from origin through receipt point and other required locations. * Identify opportunities for cost and inventory reduction, as well as quality improvement, while also assuming responsibility for consistency of business proposals and risk assessment. * Operate and monitor procurement functions across the supply network to meet defined response-time, cost, quality and efficiency goals, enabling optimized and effective facility operations. * Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to resolve facility-specific supplier issues. **Skills:** * **Data-Driven Decision Making:** Knowledge of data-driven decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques; ability to collect and analyze data to make organizational decisions aligned with business strategic objectives and goals. * **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that support effective analysis; ability to determine root causes of organizational problems and develop alternative solutions to resolve them. * **Effective Communication:** Understanding of concepts, tools and techniques for effective communication; ability to accurately convey, receive and interpret ideas, information and needs through appropriate communication behaviors. * **Supplier Management:** Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage relationships and commercial transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills in real-world practice. * **Supply Chain Management:** Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools to control the entire process. **Basic Qualifications:** * Completed undergraduate degree. * Pre-intermediate English. **Preferred Candidates Should Have:** * Prior experience in Purchasing. **Additional Information:** * Temporary position for 8 months. *Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days per week.* **Interested in this challenge and want to grow your career at Caterpillar?
