MID-LEVEL BACKEND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ANALYST** **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot * Build and consume high-quality RESTful APIs * Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to deliver robust solutions * Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards * Investigate, debug, and optimize application performance * Contribute clear and up-to-date technical documentation * Support continuous improvement of development processes and tools * **Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team’s technical development** **Required Qualifications** * ✓ **3+ years of experience** with Java and Spring Boot in production environments * ✓ **Proven experience** building REST APIs and scalable microservices * ✓ **Advanced proficiency** in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) — optimizations, indexing, complex queries * ✓ **Practical experience** with Git and version control workflows in collaborative projects * ✓ **Deep expertise** in clean code, design patterns (Factory, Strategy, Observer, etc.), and SOLID principles * ✓ **Proven experience** working in Agile/Scrum environments * ✓ **Ability to analyze and resolve** complex problems * ✓ **Experience with automated testing** (JUnit, Mockito, integration tests) **Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)** * + Experience with microservice architecture and distributed patterns + Knowledge of Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA, or Kafka + Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) + Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) + Advanced knowledge of Docker and containerization + Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus) **Company Overview** Serasa Experian is Brazil’s first and largest Datatech company. Participate in developing large-scale backend services based on microservice architectures. Apply the latest technological thinking to solve consumer challenges with quality and resilience. Efficiently use DevOps tools and practices for development, configuration, and operation of services. You will participate in the full software development and delivery lifecycle—from conception through deployment and beyond. Develop resilient, performant, well-written, and tested features aligned with product direction and pre-existing technical standards. Document, optimize, and maintain specifications, components, source code, modules, and resources for developed features. Participate in code reviews with other squad members to contribute to delivery quality. Attend meetings to define timelines and deliverables. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present technical information to diverse audiences. Participate in backend chapters to voluntarily share and contribute your experience with others via presentations, development, blogs, documentation, and more. You are resilient in ambiguous situations and capable of tackling challenges from multiple perspectives. **Qualifications** * Proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Quarkus for backend application development. * Knowledge of REST API design and implementation following architectural best practices. * Familiarity with AWS cloud services and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. * Knowledge of event-driven architectures using Kafka, SQS, and/or SNS. * Knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases. * Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or Dynatrace. * Knowledge of code quality analysis using tools like SonarQube. * Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban. **Preferred Qualifications** * Knowledge of Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django. * Knowledge of Golang. * Collaborative, adaptable profile with a strong desire for continuous learning. **Additional Information** Serasa Experian is much more than you imagine.
