Molding Operator - 2nd Shift (Monday to Saturday)

Comply with safety regulations and management procedures This position is responsible for preparing and operating molding machines, positioning and securing parts and cores on the (automatic) machine according to Foundry Technical Data Sheets (FTDU) and Work Instructions (WI), followed by machine programming and initiation of the molding process as specified in the FTDU, aiming to ensure compliance with established quality and productivity standards. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform OPM (Operator Preventive Maintenance) on machines, evaluating general machine operating conditions before shift start and at each shift change to ensure the machine is fully operational * Comply with occupational safety regulations and Integrated Quality Management procedures to safeguard employees' physical integrity * Provide raw materials, tooling, and cores required for the molding process as specified in the project folder and system; assess the condition of tooling and cores to request maintenance in advance when necessary, ensuring all required inputs, tooling, and cores are fully available and operational for the molding process * Prepare and operate molding machines, positioning and securing parts and sand cores on automatic and/or manual machines according to Foundry Technical Data Sheets (FTDU) and Work Instructions (WI), followed by machine programming and initiation of the molding process, aiming to ensure compliance with established quality and productivity standards * Conduct visual inspection of molds and internal cores, verifying conformity with FTDU prior to forwarding to the next department, indicating whether approved or rejected/discarded * Perform mold stripping, preparation, cleaning, painting, and closing, assessing quality and performance conditions of sand cores and molds * Perform other related tasks such as: mold and test block identification, and recording performed activities on production sheets and checklists * Maintain standards of organization and cleanliness **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed elementary education * Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation is desirable **Additional Information** **Benefits offered:** On-site cafeteria (**BRL 2.61 per meal**) Group life insurance UNIMED Health Plan (Company covers 100% of the monthly premium for the employee after a 3-month probationary period) On-site clinic and occupational physician Free parking for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars Pharmacy partnerships PPR – Profit Sharing Program (paid **twice per year**) Transportation allowance Leisure area and kiosk Altona Library "Conta Comigo" Program (financial counseling, psychological support, legal guidance, nutritional consultation, social assistance) AACA – Altona Athletic and Cultural Association (sports gymnasium, soccer fields, and beach volleyball courts) **And more:** Internal growth opportunities Long-service recognition award Internal events and celebrations Scholarship program (subject to current internal policy) Electro Aço Altona S.A. was founded on March 8, 1924, as a small foundry and mechanical repair workshop.
