




Job Summary: The Fermentation Process Engineer will identify, analyze, and implement actions to optimize industrial processes, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality. Key Highlights: 1. As our Fermentation Process Engineer, you will identify, analyze, and implement actions to optimize the industrial process. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Demonstrate leadership by example, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times. * Analyze procedures, processes, and equipment to improve efficiency, quality, reliability, and reduce costs and processing time, with emphasis on process and personnel safety. * Monitor and evaluate process performance indicators, proposing improvements to ensure operational stability and business continuity. * Train and upskill operational staff on new equipment, procedures, and processes. * Develop mass and energy balances for new or developing processes. * Define process requirements for new projects and equipment procurement. * Develop, support, and optimize fermentation processes and associated unit operations. * Maintain and update technical documentation, including operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, P\&IDs, and operating manuals. * Conduct process risk analyses, including HAZOP. * Address process-related issues and participate in root cause analyses related to safety, quality, and operational performance. **REQUIREMENTS:** * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Bioprocess Engineering. * Experience in process engineering, projects, or production involving bioprocess operations. * Experience interpreting P\&IDs, developing PFDs, and cause-and-effect matrices. * Advanced English proficiency. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with ability to learn new software as needed. * Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting technical results. * Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** * Experience with PI DataLink, PI Vision, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Visio. * Certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Green Belt. **About Corbion** Corbion is a sustainable ingredients company dedicated to preserving what matters — including food and its production, health, and the planet.
