Job Summary: The professional will be responsible for maintaining hygiene and organization in animal confinement and feeding areas, ensuring silage and water quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintaining hygiene in feed troughs and waterers 2. Controlling silage and water quality 3. Organizing and preserving the silage yard Perform cleaning of feed troughs and washing of waterers in the confinement area; organize the silage yard; ensure silage quality and monitor water levels in reservoirs supplying the waterers. Perform maintenance on fences, gates, and sprinklers. Clean feed troughs in the confinement area, removing leftover feed to maintain appropriate hygiene conditions for cattle feeding. Wash waterers in the confinement area using appropriate materials and equipment to ensure water quality. Monitor water levels in supply reservoirs, checking periodically and refilling as needed to ensure continuous water supply to waterers. Clean and organize the silage yard to ensure safety for cattle and staff. Maintain cleanliness and order in confinement areas, keeping them clean and safe for daily management routines. Inspect silage daily, observing for possible signs of deterioration to ensure cattle receive feed in good condition. Discard spoiled or unsuitable materials to avoid risks to animal health and feed losses. Assist with other tasks related to the confinement and animal feeding area as directed by the supervisor, contributing to smooth operations.
