Job Summary: Mercado Livre is seeking a Tech Lead - SRE Services to design and scale innovative and secure systems, solving high-impact problems in a dynamic, cutting-edge environment, with a focus on democratizing e-commerce and financial services. Manage and develop technical teams, products, and application architecture As a **Tech Lead \- SRE Services** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment powered by cutting-edge technology, applying sound engineering practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning—all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for:** * Being part of the Cloud and Platform team, with an overarching view of our internal platform development and exposure to cross-Meli impact projects. * Solving resilience and high-volume challenges with a focus on scalability, productivity, and uptime—delivering cross-cutting solutions applicable across the entire Services team. * Proposing new services, new features, or improvements to existing services so they can be more widely adopted as foundational services across all applications in the Meli ecosystem. Defining the product or service roadmap. * Acquiring deep expertise and becoming a reference on best practices for Services. Listening to Meli development teams to understand their needs and improve the developer experience—and then addressing those needs through service development with strong emphasis on usability and documentation. * Planning the product roadmap, aligning its vision with organizational leaders, and deriving annual/quarterly plans from that vision—ensuring clarity for the team and measurability so everyone shares the same understanding of how this planning impacts both the team and Mercado Livre. **What we’re looking for in you?** * Experience building distributed system architectures and applying architectural patterns and design principles. * Experience with Back-End development in high-performance, scalable environments, and technologies such as Java, Golang, NodeJS, REST APIs, Git, New Relic, among others. * General knowledge of system architecture, solid expertise in cloud and microservices architectures. * Experience managing, growing, and developing technical teams, as well as managing products and application architecture—or related areas. * Availability to perform deployment, maintenance, or support tasks during nighttime hours. The most critical implementations of our solutions occur between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
