Operation of various woodworking machines **Job Description:** ---------------------- Main responsibilities: \- Assemble furniture from CNC-produced kits, following instructions in work instructions (ITs) and manuals; sanding, adjusting, screwing, pinning, gluing, and applying fine finishes using laminates, melamine, edge banding, and manufacturing/assembly of teak slats on jigs to form flooring; \- Sand burrs off components using appropriate sandpaper; \- Inspect components, verify quality, and perform adjustments if necessary; \- Assemble components by gluing them with task-specific adhesives to ensure secure bonding; \- Secure components by screwing or pinning them; \- Prepare components for lamination (pre-composed laminate or melamine), including sanding and filling; \- Apply laminate/melamine and edge banding to components following specific instructions; \- Laminate/melamine application using hot/cold presses, following ITs; \- Operate various machines: hot press, mechanical press, membrane press, circular saw, miter saw, drills, routers, CNC edge banders, planers, thicknessers, band saws, sanders; \- Adjust hardware as needed per work instructions and manuals; \- Prepare components or furniture for painting via lamination, performing fine finishing per work instructions; \- Install hardware onto furniture, securing and adjusting them; \- Conduct overall inspection of furniture to prepare for quality inspection; \- Sort furniture and components, organizing them into environment-specific kits for vessel installation; \- Package furniture and components into kits to facilitate delivery and assembly onboard vessels; \- Manufacture curved components using flexible plywood, molds, adhesives, jigs, and hot/cold presses; \- Fabricate doors and frames per specific project drawings; \- Assemble teak tables and countertops per specific project drawings; \- Assist the team leader in guiding processes and personnel; \- Install teak flooring, fabricate jigs, cut wood, and assemble and finish per architectural design. **Essential Requirements:** ------------------------------ * Elementary education; * Basic knowledge of metrology, drawing reading and interpretation; * Minimum 6 months of experience in this role. **Desirable Requirements:** -------------------------- * Woodworking Technician qualification; * Experience in manufacturing high-end furniture. **Employment Type:** -------------------------- CLT (Consolidated Labor Laws) **PCD (Persons with Disabilities):** -------- NO **Benefits:** --------------- * Flexible fuel allowance up to 70% (car, motorcycle, or carpool) OR sustainable mobility support (assistance for purchasing a customized bicycle) OR public transportation support (municipal transport voucher); * On-site cafeteria offering breakfast and lunch (R$1.00 daily discount); * "We Count on You" attendance program (R$200.00); * Regional Unimed health plan with co-payment after 3 months, extended to dependents; * National Dental Uni dental plan after 3 months, extended to dependents; * SESI Pharmacy agreement; * Maternity gift basket; * Birthday leave (available after 1 year of employment); * Group life insurance; * Partnerships and discounts for technical courses, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and foreign language courses at Univali and SENAI Itajaí; * Extraordinary space (rest room) for well-deserved breaks during the workday; * Parking. **Work Location:** ---------------------- OKEAN MARCENARIA **Working Hours:** ------------------------ Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM; Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM **Additional Information:** --------------------------- \>\> Position open only to residents of Rio Negrinho and nearby areas. \>\> Estimated remuneration around R$ 3,000, subject to technical evaluation, plus comprehensive benefits package.
