#### **Key Responsibilities:**
* Supervise departmental operational activities, organizing the team and assigning responsibilities according to company-defined priorities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within established deadlines;
* Monitor and oversee product quality at all stages—from receipt through to shelf and display placement—ensuring products are properly organized, correctly priced, and compliant with company standards; verify that staff remove substandard or near-expiry items to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize losses;
* Assign duties and tasks among Grocery Department team members with clearly defined responsibilities, monitor execution to guarantee productivity and expected outcomes, and supervise full implementation of tasks generated by the activity management system, ensuring adherence to deadlines and departmental operational efficiency;
* Manage departmental stock levels and inventories, actively participating in physical counts, supervising the PVPS method, and ensuring data accuracy to prevent losses and maintain optimal merchandise flow;
* Ensure correct implementation of pricing, organization, and display processes for grocery products, supervising compliance with quality standards and commercial guidelines, guaranteeing continuous replenishment of the sales area and proper planogram execution;
* Supervise and monitor price re-tagging and price change procedures within the department, ensuring they occur within pre-established timeframes and in accordance with company commercial guidelines to guarantee information accuracy and avoid inconsistencies in the sales area;
* Supervise identification and resolution of issues related to near-expiry products, damages, stockouts, or unsuitable conditions, implementing corrective actions to minimize losses and maintain departmental operational efficiency;
* Promote team development through technical training focused on safe product handling, organization, shelf display, and customer service. Provide ongoing feedback to enhance operational performance and prepare employees for future career growth opportunities;
* Supervise and guide the work of promoters, taste-testers, and other service providers within the department, ensuring their activities comply with company regulations and layout specifications;
* Supervise that all signage complies with Marketing’s directives, ensuring visual consistency and appropriate communication in the sales area to attract customers, facilitate product identification, and boost sales;
* Monitor and implement loss-control measures, analyzing shrinkage reports, identifying recurring causes, and applying practical solutions to reduce waste, promoting operational efficiency and ensuring proper handling and storage practices by team members;
* Supervise departmental operations—including shift schedule adjustments, timekeeping control, inventory management, and product display—to meet customer traffic patterns during daily operations and seasonal fluctuations, ensuring compliance with HR policies and alignment with department-specific needs;
* Provide technical and personalized customer service, clarifying questions about products, storage methods, and preservation of grocery items, thereby contributing to customer loyalty and satisfaction;
* Track departmental Grocery KPIs—including sales, shrinkage, stockouts, inventory turnover, category margin, and sell-out—analyze data, and propose strategic action plans to optimize results and achieve set targets;
* Implement commercial initiatives aligned with promotional campaigns defined by the Sales Department, adjusting grocery product displays to attract customers and enhance sales performance, with emphasis on seasonal results and organizational goal attainment;
* Plan and propose continuous improvement initiatives for departmental processes—such as layout optimization, seasonal sales strategies, and product mix adjustments—in alignment with organizational goals;
* Perform other related duties as required or requested by the immediate supervisor.
#### **Mandatory Requirements:**
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree;
#### **Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous):**
* Prior experience in this role is desirable;
* Knowledge or experience in the grocery sector would be an advantage.
