**Department / Location** Production Flat Extrusion Department **Job Objective** Operate and adjust flat extrusion machines, ensuring proper polymer processing, as well as dimensional and visual quality of produced films or sheets, in accordance with technical standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures. **Main Responsibilities and Duties** Operate the flat extrusion machine, controlling temperature, pressure, speed, and calender roll rotation. Prepare and feed the extruder with raw materials, pigments, and additives according to production orders and technical specifications. Continuously monitor thickness, width, transparency, and uniformity of the produced plastic sheet. Perform die adjustments, roll changes, and parameter calibration whenever necessary to maintain product quality. Assist in line setup preparation: cleaning, purging, die changes, and equipment adjustment. Monitor film cooling and winding processes, ensuring reels meet technical specifications. Record production data, downtime entries, losses, and incidents in the internal system. Immediately inform the supervisor of any process anomalies, thickness variations, mechanical failures, or out-of-spec products. **Entry Requirements** Completed high school education. Prior experience operating flat extrusion machines or calenders in plastic manufacturing industries. Basic knowledge of polymers (PE, PP, EVA, among others) and material thermal behavior. Ability to interpret production orders, technical specifications, and extrusion parameters. Attention to detail, responsibility, and commitment to quality and safety goals. Availability to work on production shifts (3×3/2×2), 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, depending on plant operations. **Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies** Operation and adjustment of flat extruders and calenders. Thickness, width, and surface finish control of the product. Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and die cleaning. Organization, discipline, and results orientation. Teamwork ability and effective communication with supervisors and support teams. Commitment to safety and quality standards.
