Your flight plan includes working alongside the Operations Directorate team, aligned with the Company’s strategy and current regulations, contributing to the advancement of our operations with the highest standards of Safety and consistency. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Position Mission** Exercise the authority of the Captain from pre-flight briefing through aircraft handover at the end of the flight, ensuring operational safety, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity, while representing the company before passengers, crew, and authorities, in accordance with the Brazilian Aeronautical Code (BAC) and applicable regulations. Additionally, collaborate with Company teams, leveraging your experience to continuously strengthen operations. **Authority** * Exercise full authority over the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo throughout the entire operation; * Refuse an aircraft that is not airworthy; * Delay, suspend, or terminate a flight when essential for Safety; * Refuse boarding or order disembarkation of individuals who compromise Safety or discipline onboard; * Take necessary measures to protect the aircraft, persons, and cargo carried; * Represent the company’s operator during the entire flight; * Handle incidents related to unlawful acts (AVSEC), maintaining communication with control authorities; * Contract extraordinary maintenance when required; * Validate licenses and certificates, as permitted by aviation authorities. **Operational Safety** * Ensure the Safety of crew members, passengers, and cargo from door closure until final disembarkation; * Verify airworthiness conditions, weight, and balance; * Confirm correct fuel quantity and monitor its consumption; * Assess meteorological conditions, NOTAMs, and aerodrome status; * Ensure the flight is properly dispatched by the Flight Operations Division (DOV); * Ensure compliance with the Air Operator’s Safety Program procedures; * Report unsafe conditions to control authorities and the Safety department; * Identify and report operational hazards via the company’s official system. **Crew Management** * Ensure technical and disciplinary subordination of the crew; * Delegate responsibilities, except those related to flight Safety; * Designate the Pilot Flying and ensure correct execution of checklists; * Ensure only essential activities occur during critical phases of flight; * Monitor compliance with professional regulations, including duty time, rest periods, and operational limits. **Compliance and Recordkeeping** * Complete or ensure correct completion of the Aircraft Logbook and Technical Report; * Record incidents requiring mandatory inspection, such as hard landings, severe turbulence, tail strikes, rejected takeoffs (RTO), lightning strikes, and operational limit exceedances; * Ensure proper recording of onboard incidents, including medical events, births, and deaths, per applicable regulations; * Ensure compliance with Operational Safety Management System (SMS) guidelines and Environmental Policy. **Cabin and Passengers** * Ensure delivery of Safety instructions; * Guarantee compliance with Safety regulations under normal, emergency, and evacuation conditions; * Ensure integrity and Safety of the flight deck; * Ensure proper use of emergency equipment. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Must-Have in Your Baggage:** **Education** * Completed High School (Bachelor’s degree is a plus) **Experience** * Minimum 5 years of experience in this role and on this aircraft type. **Mandatory Certifications** * Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL); * Technical Proficiency Certificate (TPC) for the Airbus A330; * Valid Aviation Medical Certificate (AMC); * Valid Brazilian passport with more than 6 (six) months remaining validity; * Valid U.S. visas B1, B2, and D. **Technical Knowledge** * Applicable aeronautical regulations (RBAC 121 and BAC); * Safety Management System (SMS); * A330 aircraft operational procedures; * Widebody aircraft and long-haul flight operations. **Languages** * English language proficiency (ICAO Level 4 or higher). **IMPORTANT:** The work location will be determined after selection process approval.
