




**Description and Responsibilities:** **Schedule:** 9 AM to 6 PM **Level:** Professional **Employment Type:** Permanent — CLT labor code ***WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE A CHIEF NURSE IN MSF’S PROJECT?*** As Chief Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of nursing care, organizing clinical activities, and guaranteeing the smooth operation of the project’s health facilities. Your role is essential in ensuring that care provided to people deprived of liberty aligns with MSF’s standards, protocols, and principles. You will lead teams, strengthen safe practices, and directly contribute to continuity of care, supply management, biosafety, and technical supervision of the nursing team. ***WHAT WILL BE YOUR CHALLENGES?*** You will work in a complex and dynamic environment where commitment to quality of care, infection control, and efficient resource management is essential. Your main challenges include: Ensuring strict adherence to nursing protocols and biosafety standards. Supervising and supporting diverse teams in sensitive contexts such as prison health and tuberculosis. Maintaining effective coordination among clinical, logistics, and pharmacy teams. Managing resources, supplies, and workflows in high-demand facilities. Your role directly impacts clinical outcomes, the working environment, and the safety of patients and staff. ***WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS POSITION?*** Ensure high-quality nursing care by supervising teams and ensuring compliance with MSF protocols. Set objectives, review guidelines, and reinforce nursing practices across all units under your responsibility. Audit routines and ensure compliance with infection control standards, maintaining a safe environment and reporting risks to the Medical Coordinator / Nursing Manager. Plan and supervise HR processes for the nursing team (recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, technical development, and internal communication). Manage the nursing pharmacy: forecast stock levels, monitor expiry dates, and prevent emergency orders. In collaboration with the biomedical service, supervise appropriate use of medical devices and anticipate needs. Coordinate with logistics and facility management to ensure adequate infrastructure conditions and efficient patient, material, and medication flows. Ensure accurate collection of nursing data, support monthly analyses, and prepare nursing reports. Prior experience supervising nursing teams. Desirable Experience in prison health, tuberculosis, or humanitarian projects. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
