Assists the baker in preparing foods designated for the confectionery section and controls food quality. **Responsibilities** * Pre-prepare foods and assist in plating and packaging. * Pre-cook foods, prepare syrups, fillings, and toppings. * Verify food quality and minimize contamination risks. * Assist the baker in preparing breads, savory snacks, doughs, cakes, and baking breads. * Assist in daily inventory control and label food items and/or ingredients. * Check organoleptic characteristics (odor, appearance, color, texture, and taste) and verify expiration dates. * Organize and prepare the area where food preparation will occur, and sanitize utensils and equipment. * Package, price, restock, and arrange products following the FIFO principle (“First Expired, First Out”), as needed, according to established display guidelines. * Handle foods, fry and bake products sold in the bakery and rotisserie sections (area for food display) of the store. * Assist the baker in monitoring loss rates and identifying measures to reduce them. * Daily verification of expiration dates for all products in the section; remove expired or unsuitable products from display. Immediately inform the section supervisor about products expiring within 30 days and relocate such items from the sales area to the designated zone for exchanges and damaged goods before their expiration date. * Collaborate harmoniously and cooperatively with the baker to achieve the team’s expected results. * Provide product information and offer customers necessary assistance. * Receive complaints calmly and empathetically, attempting to resolve simple issues directly; otherwise, escalate to leadership to complete service and resolve the issue—avoid confrontations with customers. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of one’s work area and common-use areas, such as cafeterias and restrooms.
