Job Summary: The professional will manage and optimize production and treatment processes in an offshore environment, with a focus on HSE, energy efficiency, and performance. Key Highlights: 1. Leadership in process problem resolution and OPEX optimization. ### **Context and Environment** **Context and Environment:** * Increasing activity level in a multicultural environment. * Lease \& Operate philosophy – new group strategy. * Lean organization – high cost-control requirements. * Position based in Rio de Janeiro with frequent offshore travel. ### **Activities** The employee shall perform activities in compliance with the HSE Management System, aligned with the One Maestro Principles and aimed at safeguarding people’s integrity, preserving the environment and resources, contributing to improving our energy efficiency, the decarbonization of the Company’s assets, and its reputation. **HSE** * Implement and reinforce the affiliate’s HSE policy and ensure that the affiliate’s HSE objectives are achieved. * Ensure that safety and environmental protection standards and instructions are respected throughout the chemical supply chain. * Ensure flare and produced water from the unit are monitored and controlled, as well as collect and maintain updated corresponding reports. * Issue the unit’s flaring policy. * Interface with the Contractor and the Company’s HSE team to ensure fire-fighting and spill containment chemicals are available on the unit. * Ensure DGS cards and audits related to chemicals receive due priority. * Ensure improvement of FPSO energy efficiency and reduction of GHG emissions related to treatment functions. **GHG \& Energy Efficiency** * Ensure daily monitoring of FPSO GHG emissions and keep information up to date. * Monitor any anomalies in GHG variations and energy performance KPIs, conduct investigations, and proactively propose solutions for offshore implementation. * Monitor GHG \& Energy Efficiency improvement initiatives in collaboration with the FPSO Contractor, ensuring technical and budgetary follow-up from the conceptual phase through to implementation. * Ensure good coordination with the Planning \& Development department and with Head Office to guarantee consistency in GHG reporting figures, budget, long-term plan, and initiative status. * Participate in periodic Energy Management System meetings. * Actively participate in internal and external ISO 50001\ audits. **Production Performance** * Ensure daily monitoring of different topside systems to identify and anticipate potential concerns. * Ensure continuous development and updating of the FPSO topside simulation, considering the most recent composition of various streams. * Participate in resolving production/injection issues (shutdowns, flaring, unit unavailability, abnormal operating conditions, etc.). * Participate in production/injection loss analysis in coordination with Material Balance. * Conduct regular audits on the unit. * Participate in studies, risk analyses, HAZOPs, and audits related to production/treatment, conducted internally or by MODEC. * Contribute to enhancing production expertise, developing reference documents, calculation methods, and tools. * Issue operational procedures related to specific operations prepared onshore, as well as review unit procedures as required. **Process** * Lead process problem-solving and plant bottleneck elimination studies. * Support the treatment engineer in defining and implementing the chemical treatment strategy, aligned with flow assurance and process requirements. * Coordinate activities related to the Sulfate Removal Unit (SRU), ensuring high system availability. * Coordinate activities related to the Gas Dehydration Unit, ensuring high system availability. * Coordinate activities related to oil processing, ensuring high system availability. * Ensure required onshore samples (affiliate, Head Office and/or authorities) are collected, shipped, and delivered safely and on time. * Ensure good coordination with the FPSO L\&O Contractor to ensure early identification of issues and implementation of action plans, including potential Management of Change (MOC) modifications. **Budget** * Participate in and contribute to the development of the long-term plan and budget for operated assets. * Propose initiatives to reduce/optimize OPEX. * Innovate digital solutions capable of reducing OPEX. **Responsibilities** * HSE: Comply with and enforce rules and guidelines. Conduct required training. Report anomalies and anticipate environmental issues. * Production: Optimize operational guidelines and provide unit support, reducing unplanned losses. * Work Plan: Contribute to its development and implementation, targeting safety, production, and costs. * Interface: Coordinate with the offshore team and onshore team to ensure operational continuity. * Costs: Lead and control budget forecasting and execution to optimize OPEX, promoting a cost-conscious culture. ### **Candidate Profile** **Qualifications and Experience Required:** * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent. * Experience: Approximately 5 years in the O\&G industry, in process/treatment roles.
