If you focus on customers and innovation, make decisions openly and transparently, value and foster a respectful work environment, collaborate across disciplines, work collaboratively and pragmatically with a results-oriented mindset, and assume responsibility for delivery, learn more about our **Refractory Application Technician** position. **Important position details:** * Work location: inside TERNIUM – Santa Cruz/RJ * Working hours: shift-based * Work modality: on-site * Contract type: permanent **Key Responsibilities:** Provide technical assistance to clients, supporting and guiding client personnel responsible for the installation and application of refractory products; monitor new product trials at client sites, as well as track the operation and performance of contract refractories, providing practical information to assist in project development jointly with other company departments, aiming to improve performance/cost optimization. **Responsibilities:** The professional will provide technical assistance to clients, overseeing and guiding the installation and application of refractory products according to received technical specifications. Work onsite at the client’s facility, identifying and investigating issues or anomalies reported by the client or detected during inspections related to refractories, assessing potential root causes, issuing technical reports, and proposing action plans. Monitor proper refractory application by clients or contractors, collaborate in preparing the technical manual for application and installation, and maintain\-it updated for client and contractor reference and control. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** * Technical degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or Materials Science; * Knowledge of refractory processes; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in integrated steelmaking Salary and benefits align with market standards for companies of our size and sector, including health insurance, bonuses, meal vouchers, etc. Benefits also emphasize wellbeing and balance, such as extended maternity and paternity leave, emotional support services, Gympass, among others.
